For some families, summer vacation meant crowded beaches or theme parks. For ours, it meant dusty boots, wide-open plains, and scouring the rugged landscapes of South Dakota and Nebraska with our eyes glued to the ground.
Welcome to Superagates.com. This business is, first and foremost, a family passion project between a father and two sons that has been four decades in the making.Â
Mark has been an avid rockhound and agate collector for over 40 years. Throughout the years, he’s developed a wealth of expertise and relationships within the rock collecting community. Â More recently, he’s found joy in sharing his experience through YouTube.
Sons Brian and Jason grew up surrounded by rocks and the hum of rock tumblers in the basement. Â As both grew older, they eventually traded rock hammers for laptops, building corporate careers rooted in technology and supply chain management. Superagates now provides an opportunity to spend more time together as a family while we work to spread the hobby that brings us so much joy.

Recently, we realized we had a unique opportunity. We wanted to create a space that honored Mark’s incredible, hard-earned expertise while bringing a seamless, modern experience to the rock-collecting community.
Superagates.com is the convergence of those two worlds. Mark handles the curation, bringing a lifetime of knowledge to carefully select, identify, and grade every piece. Jason and Brian handle the operations behind the scenes, ensuring that the technology works, the shipping is rock-solid, and your experience is flawless.
